Some of our top materia medica for the skin, with wound healing, anti-inflammatory, antiseptic, and other properties and also equally useful for treating the upper GI, the stomach and small intestine for conditions such as gastritis, enteritis, ulcers, general inflammation, SIBO, dysbiosis, and leaky gut syndrome. We describe the uses of ten topical herbs for the GI tract. In addition, a number of herbs that are pigeon-holed as internal medicine are extremely powerful topical remedies for wounds, infections, and inflammation. We describe topical uses for Echinacea, Baptisia, and Thuja.
