The Leaky Gut Syndrome – Materia Medica and Therapeutics
Paul Bergner 2007
90 Minutes 1.5 CEU credits
Abnormally increased intestinal permeability has been termed the Leaky Gut Syndrome. With excessive permeability, content of the gut can overwhelm immunological defenses in the gut wall, and create a condition of systemic inflammation. In this lecture we describe this pathology, the factors that can cause or correct it, and present herbal therapeutics and formulations to assist in gut-healing. We present two cases where correction of the leaky gut contributed to recovery from autoimmune conditions.
