Some herbs with strong heating effects are useful for chronic conditions, which requires daily or regular use which requires daily or regular use. Such use requires precautions for certain patient constitutions, and require special considerations for dosing, duration of treatment, formulation, and delivery media to prevent excessive constitutional heating effects. We will discuss Allium sativum, Capsicum annum, Zingiber officinalis, Eugenia caryophyllum, Cinnamomum cassia, Cinnamomum verum, and Curcuma longa, and their medicinal uses.
